The Fidelity of the Mirror in Coaching - Cultivating the Coach’s Presence

For a long time I believed that the value of a coaching conversation is determined, to a large extent, by the questions the coach asks.

Today I still believe that questions are valuable, but I now know that they cannot be deeper than the presence from which they arise.

And presence does not come naturally, but is cultivated through the way the coach relates to their own experience.
